Nicotine Cleaning

Following decades of smoking, SERVPRO was able to completely clean this office space of nicotine staining and residual odors.

Heavy nicotine contamination will cause staining of painted surfaces, trims and wallpaper as well as hard surface contents. Additionally, there is a lingering distinct odor which is absorbed by porous materials including upholstered furniture and carpeting.

A nicotine cleaning must be thorough and address all surfaces.  Hard surfaces are cleaned with a variety of SERVPRO cleaning products until the surface contaminants are removed.  Even after cleaning, staining may remain which could required sealing and painting.

Soft goods, like carpeting and upholstered furniture typically are steam cleaned.

A final step could include a treatment of ozone or fogging of the environment with a deodorizer.
